Sugar Mill Landing is situated across from the Union Landing shopping area and marks the entrance to the Alvarado neighborhood.

The park’s centerpiece is the community reader board, which is used by Union City’s nonprofits to advertise upcoming events. The Union City Lions Club donated this reader board. The park's trails and grass area lead into the local neighborhoods.
